Volunteer - Long Term

Long term professional volunteers join the EMI América Latina for six months to a year to assist EMI in providing design or construction management services. Long term volunteers have the opportunity to taste missionary life, learning how to live in a new culture with a different language while using their skills impact the poor.

Long term architectural and engineering volunteers will work with in the EMI America Latina office located in Atenas, Costa Rica. These volunteers are not expected to have any Spanish ability but are required to achieve basic Spanish conversation, attending classes in Atenas.

Construction managers will work where the project is located which could be anywhere in Latin America or the Caribbean. Construction managers need to have advanced Spanish skills that enable them to conduct business and manage construction with locals.
